Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how TrackingInk handles information when you use the website, web app, mobile app, browser extension, support forms, sync features, reports, alerts, AI features, subscriptions, and related services. It applies to information connected to your TrackingInk account and to publishing data you choose to connect, import, upload, or submit.
Information you provide
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account profile, support messages, screenshots, uploaded files, form submissions, subscription selections, preferences, and any information you include when asking for support or sending feedback.
Account and authentication data
We collect and process information needed to create, authenticate, secure, and operate your TrackingInk account, including login identifiers, authentication tokens, session information, device identifiers, sign-in provider data, IP address, approximate location derived from network data, timestamps, and security events. We do not ask for or store your Amazon, Apple, or Google marketplace passwords.
Marketplace and publishing data
When you connect or import from a marketplace, we collect the publishing data needed to power your dashboard and features. This may include platform name, account connection metadata, book identifiers, titles, ASINs, marketplace codes, territories, prices, covers, catalog metadata, sales, royalties, KENP reads, refunds, payout records, tax-withholding indicators, review counts, ratings, review text on eligible plans, sync status, import history, and error logs.
Sync and connection material
Some sync and import features may require session snapshots, encrypted connection material, browser extension data, signed sync plans, platform identifiers, or similar technical data. We use this data only to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve supported connection flows. We do not use marketplace connection material to access unrelated pages, personal files, marketplace messages, banking instructions, tax forms, or payout settings.
Payment and subscription data
If you purchase a plan, payment and subscription providers such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another checkout provider may process payment details. TrackingInk may receive subscription status, product identifiers, renewal status, trial status, purchase timestamps, cancellation status, country, currency, tax, and limited billing metadata. We do not store full credit card numbers or full app-store payment credentials.
AI, analytics, and generated outputs
AI features may process publishing metrics, catalog data, review text, prompts, product context, and generated outputs to create insights, summaries, recommendations, classifications, anomaly explanations, review analysis, and Daily Pulse content. We may store AI usage records, generated cards, cache fingerprints, and cost/usage metadata so we can enforce plan limits, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and avoid unnecessary repeated processing.
Website, app, and device data
We collect technical and usage data that helps us run the service, including browser type, device type, operating system, app version, extension version, pages viewed, feature usage, diagnostics, crash data, log events, performance data, referral data, cookie or local-storage identifiers, and approximate network location. See the Cookie Policy for more about browser storage.
How we use information
We use information to provide, maintain, secure, personalize, and improve TrackingInk; authenticate users; operate dashboards; run sync and import jobs; generate reports and alerts; provide AI features; enforce plan limits; process subscriptions; answer support requests; debug errors; prevent fraud and abuse; protect users and marketplaces; comply with law; and send important service, security, billing, or product notices.
Legal bases for processing
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform our contract with you, based on your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, service improvement, support, product analytics, and reliable operation of marketplace integrations.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers and subprocessors that help us operate TrackingInk, including hosting, database, authentication, security, monitoring, analytics, email, support, payment, subscription, AI, storage, and infrastructure providers. These providers are allowed to use information only to provide services to TrackingInk or as otherwise permitted by law.
- We may share information when required by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, or government request.
- We may share information to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, payment risk, or violations of our Terms.
- We may transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
- We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
No sale or cross-context behavioral advertising
TrackingInk does not sell personal information and does not use publishing account data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use marketplace data to build advertising profiles for third parties.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, encryption at rest where appropriate, secret management, account-scoped authorization, logging, monitoring, and operational controls. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should protect your devices, email, marketplace accounts, passwords, two-factor authentication, and browser sessions.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, support backups, and operate security controls. Retention periods may vary by data type. For example, account and billing records may be kept longer than transient logs, while backups may persist for a limited period after deletion before rotating out.
Your choices and controls
You can disconnect marketplace connections, stop using sync, change supported preferences, delete local app data, manage cookies through your browser, cancel subscriptions through the provider that billed you, request supported exports, and request deletion of your account or certain information through support. Some deletion requests may be limited by legal, security, billing, backup, fraud-prevention, or operational requirements.
Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or appeal certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise privacy rights, contact support with the account email and enough information for us to verify the request.
International processing
TrackingInk and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Children
TrackingInk is intended for authors, publishers, and business users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law.
Third-party services
Marketplace platforms, app stores, payment providers, authentication providers, AI providers, browser stores, and linked websites have their own privacy practices. TrackingInk is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Your use of Amazon, Apple, Google, app stores, payment providers, and other third-party services is governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are material, we may provide notice through the website, app, email, or another reasonable channel. The updated policy is effective when posted unless a later effective date is stated.
Contact
Privacy questions, data requests, and account deletion requests should be submitted through the support page. Include your account email, the request type, and enough detail for us to verify and process the request.
